Episode synopsis

In this episode the contestants must bring in the most desirable thing for another contestant, land an iron on the ironing board, make a toy for a cute dog, find and sit on the red chair in the secret tower, and then make and throw paper aeroplanes.

Title context

'A chair in a sweet' was a phrase uttered by a baffled Victoria Coren Mitchell, as she tried to figure out what she needed to do in the 'Sit on the red chair in the secret tower' task.

Alternate Titles

  • On Finland's MTV Katsomo streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Tuoli karkin sisällä', which translates as 'A chair inside a candy'. [Translator credit: zador]
  • On Sweden's SVT Play streaming platform, this episode is titled 'Vovvar och cirklar', which translates as 'Pooches and circles'. This title is simply referencing the 'Make a cute toy for a cute dog' task and the circular mats used in the 'Sit on the red chair in the secret tower' task. The two Swedish words also rhyme, which makes it catchier. [Translator credit: DANI]
  • On Norway's Discovery+ Norge streaming platform, this episode is titled 'En stol i et godteri', which translates as 'A chair in a candy'. Note: this Norwegian translation of the title only appears in the subtitles for the episode, whereas the episode title listed on the platform is the original English title. Taskmaster's Sign-off

So what have we learned today? We've learnt that if you find yourself on holiday and all the sun loungers have been taken, then why not wade your way through a tin of Quality Street? You never know, there might be a chair in there! We've also learnt that paper aeroplanes and bathroom furniture don't make good television. See you soon. And well done again to Guz Khan!
