Arbeidersamfunnets plass

Arbeidersamfunnets plass ('Worker society’s place') is a square in the Hausmann area of central Oslo, Norway.

The square takes its name from an eight-storey building, completed in 1941 in a functionalist style, where the Sentrum cinema was formerly located (now the location of Sentrum Scene).

The square is located in the area where a penitentiary was previously located, between c1740 and the 1930s. Some of the stone walls from the penitentiary have been preserved in the adjacent police building, and in a restaurant in a neighbouring building.

Taskmaster connection

The square is used as the ending location for a task in season 9 of Kongen Befaler.

First appearance

The square is first seen in the 'Carry the flag pole out of the building' task, in the fourth episode of season 9 of Kongen Befaler.
