Official air date announced for Kongen Befaler season 5

What a great piece of news to wake up to this morning: season 5 of the excellent Kongen Befaler (Norway's version of Taskmaster) is going to start airing about a month earlier than I had anticipated, despite the fact that it basically only just wrapped up its studio record sessions.

I'm so impressed at how quickly the team behind this show is able to turn around the post-production process.

It was announced on serienytt.no today that the official start date for season 5 will be 24 February 2022.

Kongen Befaler has quickly become one of my favourite versions of the Taskmaster franchise, and season 4 in particular was a joy, with its embrace of bare-bones simplistic tasks (such a tonic for those who have become weary of the labyrinthine rules associated with some of the tasks in the British version of the show).

If you're a Taskmaster fan and haven't yet tried watching Kongen Befaler, sort your life out.
