Task brief
The task brief is presented on the table in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:
Say one word in between the beats of the metronome.
Every word should begin with the last letter of the previous word.
You may not repeat words.
Longest sequence of words wins.
You have 5 minutes.
Your time starts on the first beat.
Task notes
- Also on the table, there is a metronome.
- This is not a one-chance task; the contestants have as many attempts as they like within the time limit.
- Due to the contestants’ poor performances, it is decided that they will each earn one actual point per word from their longest word chains.
- Although similar to some versions of the 'Say the most unique words' task, the additional challenge of trying to keep pace between the ticks of a metronome means this task is categorised here as original.
