Task briefs
The initial task brief is leant against one of three metal cloches on the table in the lab. The three other task briefs are printed on slips of paper which are stuck to the table, underneath the cloches. The briefs for the task are as follows:
Complete the three tasks under the three cloches.
For every task you don’t complete, one minute will be added to your final time.
You are done when you leave the lab.
Shortest final time wins.
Your time starts now.
Untangle the earphones and hang them around David’s shoulders.
Eat two bananas and show David that your mouth is empty.
Solve the sum and tell David the answer.
Task notes
- Underneath the first cloche, there is a set of pink wired earphones which have been tightly tangled up.
- Underneath the second, there are two whole bananas.
- Underneath the third, there is a piece of card with the sum ‘123 x 9’ written on it, and a pen with which the contestants may attempt to solve the sum.
- Each of the mini-tasks completed are things which could take more than a minute to complete, so the smartest solution might well be to walk straight out of the lab without attempting any of them, and incur the three minute penalty.
