The Premium Economy Hooley Dooleys catch some lemons

After Josh and Anne meet for the first time and discuss how annoying they find Tom Cashman, Anne reads the task brief but is clearly confused by it.

Josh suggests that they start out really far away from one another to see if they can win. Josh’s first lemon doesn’t even leave his bin, but on his second attempt he manages to land it in the grass quite close to Anne. As Tom scurries over to pick up the lemon, Josh says “We don’t have to worry about him.”

Josh has another couple of goes at throwing lemons to Anne. She fails to catch the first one but succeeds with the second.

The pair increase the distance between them and eventually switch roles, after Anne fails to catch any more lemons.

As Josh is collecting another lemon from the pile in the wheelbarrow, he accidentally knocks some of the other lemons to the ground, which Tom quickly collects and juices.

After a lemon bounces out of Anne’s bin during her attempt to catch it, she questions whether they should just stop. The team continues their attempt, but Josh heads up to the balcony, to start throwing from there instead.

After more lemons bounce out of Anne’s bin, she pads the bottom of it with something to help prevent that happening.

Anne catches one of Josh’s throws from the balcony and then moves even further away before failing to catch the next one.

Deciding to throw in the towel and limit how many lemons get juiced, Josh flings his bin off of the balcony, and then calls Tom “whistle boy” as he asks him to blow his whistle to end the task. Tom is still busy juicing lemons, however, and then when two more lemons fall out of the wheelbarrow, Anne helpfully points them out to him, before questioning why she’d done so.

Tom is still busy juicing the lemons as Anne holds aloft the lemon she’d successfully caught from the furthest distance, and almost drops it. She then holds it tantalisingly close to the grass while Tom excitedly runs over to check whether it is making contact.

In the studio, Tom Gleeson asks Josh if he knew what was going on. Josh, sounding a bit vague, claims that they’d thought that only the lemons they’d failed to catch would be juiced. When Anne points out that she’d suggested ending their attempt early on, Tom Cashman agrees that it would have been a good plan but points out that, at the time she’d made the suggestion, they had just dropped 14 lemons in a row.

The team’s most successful catch was from a distance of 10.8 metres, but Tom had collected 1.7 litres of juice, giving them a final score of 9.1. Anne and Josh both earn 3 points.

After their attempt has been shown, Tom Gleeson decides to name the team ‘The Premium Economy Hooley Dooleys’, in line with his decision to name the other team ‘The Discount Wiggles’ (The Hooley Dooleys were an Australian children's music and performance act between 1996 and 2009; The Wiggles are an Australian children’s music group, formed in 1991).
