Jenny can’t keep her hands off the balls
After reading the task brief, Jenny picks up the ‘This’ jar and goes to place it on the floor. As the balls spill out of the bottom she says “Oh, I see what you’ve done”. She initially places the jar back on the table but, as most of the balls have already fallen out, she decides to “Commit to it” and lifts the jar back up, allowing all of the remaining balls to spill out.
Jenny removes the dust compartment from the vacuum cleaner as a receptacle, and sweeps balls into it using a dustpan brush. As she tries to empty them into the ‘That’ jar, though, she misses and many of them fall back to the floor and bounce away. Jenny then uses the vacuum cleaner to suck up the small bouncy balls, which do fit inside the hose.
In the studio, she says that she had always thought that she was a competent person, until she started doing the tasks. She also notes that this had been the last task filmed that day, and that she had just wanted to take a nap.
She is revealed to have gotten all of the balls into the ‘That’ jar after 34 minutes and 41 seconds.
However, Tom Cashman then plays some additional footage of her attempt, revealing that Jenny had grabbed some balls with her hand near the very start. Although she had realised this at the time, asking Tom Cashman if she had disqualifies herself, some further clips reveal that she had later touched balls on several other occasions, while attempting to use duct tape and the vacuum cleaner.
Back in the studio, Tom Cashman confirms that Jenny had touched 17 balls with her hands, in total. Jenny tries to defend herself, pointing out that she had persisted and completed the task. Tom Gleeson says it’s one of the best disqualifications he’s ever seen, and Jenny earns zero points.
