Josh loses interest in the task

After reading the task brief, Josh moves the ‘This’ jar along the table. When a few balls fall out, he realises that there is a hole in the bottom. He picks up the ‘That’ jar and places it upside-down on top of the ‘This’ jar. He then rips a part of the plastic sheeting off of the wall to wrap around the bottom of the ‘This’ jar. As he attempts to flip the jars over like some kind of hourglass, the ‘That’ jar – which he has apparently not secured to the other jar in any way – just falls off.

Switching tack, Josh then places the ‘That’ jar on the floor, and attempts to pour the balls into it from the ‘This’ jar. However, the plastic sheeting falls off of the bottom of the ‘This’ jar, and balls start bouncing all over the floor.

Josh eventually gets the ‘This’ jar on top of the ‘That’ jar and shakes them until all of the balls inside have been transferred.

After initially believing that he’s completed the task, Josh then realises that all of the balls had to be transferred. Using the tongs, he begins collecting the balls from the floor, while commenting that it’s just like doing chores.

While he’s then using the dustpan brush to sweep some balls onto the plastic sheeting, Tom Cashman yells “Don’t touch!” at him. Already clearly fed up with the task anyway, Josh admits that he had touched one of the balls, and asks Tom if he’s disqualified, adding that he would actually love to be disqualified. Overjoyed at the prospect of not having to complete the task, Josh then kicks over the ‘That’ jar before running out of the room.

In the studio, it is revealed that Josh had disqualified himself after 4 minutes and 14 seconds. Tom Gleeson awards him minus 1 point for giving up on the task.
