Eero attempts to satisfy multiple interpretations
After reading the task brief, Eero spends some time pondering the difference between the task directive of ‘pöydältä’, and the effectively similar – but grammatically quite different – ‘pöydästä’ (in very simplified terms, the English equivalents would be ‘off the table’ and ‘from the table’, respectively).
His chosen solution seems to satisfy both interpretations, however, as he decides to move the table to the nearby pier. After carefully positioning the table at the edge of the pier, Eero blows the egg off of the table – where it clips one of the boards of the pier and cracks open before dropping into the water.
In the studio, Jaakko jokingly asks if Eero’s solution was his idea of a trip to Tallinn (the capital of Estonia, just across the Gulf of Finland from Helsinki).
Eero’s egg travels “a whopping” 1 centimetre, and he earns last place.
Eero asks for a bonus point, pointing out that Jaakko had complimented Eero’s idea, had it worked (apparently this footage did not make the edit). After threatening to take away Eero’s already-earned point for trying to suck up to him, Jaakko relents and awards Eero a bonus point for his good try.
