Everyone writes words and survives infighting

The prompt for first round – which Jaakko calls a warm-up round, in retrospect – is ‘What do you eat at the cinema?’. All five contestants write the obvious answer of ‘popcorn’, though Arman implies that he’s incredibly tempted to write something different, and Jaakko says that since Arman is such a rebel (referencing his attempt at the ‘Blow an egg off of the table’ task), he should go with his instinct.

The prompt for the second round is ‘Something you do hidden away from others’. Eero writes ‘masturbation’, which bothers Pamela and Pirjo, as they insist that they wouldn’t have written something like that down. Arman writes ‘peeing’, and Pamela writes ‘farting’. When Joonas reveals that he has written ‘self-pleasuring’, Eero cheers. While Pamela is increasingly upset that both men had chosen onanism, Pirjo briefly distracts her by revealing her own word. ‘farts’. Pamela – still fixated on Eero’s and Joonas’ choices – says that Suurmestari is meant to be a family show, but Joonas tells her not to “wank-shame”. Jaakko replies that Suumestari is indeed a family show, but points out that Pamela should already know just how much adolescents masturbate (Pamela has three sons, two of whom are teenagers). Arman is eliminated, and earns last place.

The prompt for the third round is ‘What do you do in a plane?’. Arman jokes that he already knows what Eero does, causing Eero to break out in laughter. Pirjo and Pamela spend their time yelling at Eero not to write down what Arman is suggesting (masturbation). When Eero reveals his answer, he starts to say “masturbation”, in acknowledgement of the joke, before quickly giving his actual answer: ‘sleep’. Pamela has also written ‘sleep’. Joonas has written ‘have drinks’, leading Pirjo to excitedly yell “I drink! I drink!”, while showing everyone her own board. Everyone survives the round.

The prompt for the fourth round is ‘The first thing you get for a new home’. Eero writes ‘bed’. Pamela writes ‘sofa’. Joonas has not actually written anything (which he fully admits, when it’s his turn), but quickly writes ‘bed’. This upsets Pamela, who had wanted him to write ‘sofa’, so she could stay in the game. Pirjo also writes ‘bed’. Pamela insists that since Joonas had not written anything and was not disqualified for it, that she should not be disqualified, either. Jaakko rules that since Joonas did not know what Pirjo had written, but matched with her anyway, he would remain in the game (presumably if Pirjo had written something different, like ‘sofa’, Joonas would not have been matched with Eero’s bed). Pamela is eliminated , and earns fourth place.

The prompt for the fifth round is ‘What do you put in your school backpack?’. Eero writes ‘pencil case’. Joonas writes ‘school book’. Pirjo writes ‘pen’, but swiftly tries to stay in the game by adding “a pen, in a pencil case”. Jaakko agrees with Pirjo’s logic, ruling that Joonas’ was too dissimilar to Eero and Pirjo’s items. Joonas is therefore eliminated, and earns third place.

For the final round, Eero and Pirjo are told to write down how many sweets they think Jaakko has in his right trouser pocket. Eero writes ‘2’, while Pirjo writes ‘1’. Jaakko pulls out a handful of sweets from his pocket – the amount of which he doesn’t even know (there are 5). The obvious presence of multiple sweet before an official count is given means that Eero wins the tie-break, and therefore the task, with Pirjo earning second place.
