Eero avoids the obvious

Eero is the only contestant to not immediately (or seemingly ever) go for the sauna ladle, instead first trying his luck with the foot-operated pump, which he is somewhat annoyed to discover that it does not actually suck up water.

He recognises that the material in the perspex cube is candy floss, and questions why it would be there, before dipping it into the water to test its (non-existent) absorbency. He then eats what remains of the candy floss (which disgusts Pamela in particular), before chiding himself for “wasting water” with his test.

Eero next attempts to use the vacuum cleaner nozzle as a large straw, intending to cover it with the swimming cap. However, he quickly chokes on the water that he has sucked up. He then removes the small plants from the fishbowl, deeming them a potential choking hazard, before (more carefully) continuing with his straw method.

In the studio, Jaakko asks how often Eero uses large vacuum cleaner nozzle-sized straws to suck things towards him. Eero replies that he believes his lawyer should be the one to answer that question.

As everyone moves more or less the same amount of water, Jaakko’s scoring is instead based mostly on the number of mistakes made during the task. As Eero did not move either fishbowl, he earns joint third place.
