Pamela’s astigmatic recreation

Pamela chooses the coat of arms for Joroinen.

She bypasses the shed in favour of the kitchen, where she retrieves as many black bin bags as she can find (and which may or may not still have doughnut glaze on them). She then relocates to nearby the shed and starts cutting apart the bags at their seams, informing Pilvi that her strategy for this particular task is “not about quality, but about size”.

Pamela is next seen searching the shed, informing the camera that she remembers that her coat of arms had a tongue, and then settling on a red bunting flag to serve as one. She also uses two orange wiffle balls to serve as the creature’s eyes, and writes ‘Joroinen’ on a slip of paper, which she places beneath her creation.

Overall, Pamela’s recreation is pretty good, but she neglects some of the coat of arms’ details, such as the three large black orbs surrounding the bull, and the bull’s long red horns.

In the studio, Jaakko calls Pamela’s recreation “a little bit like looking at the Joroinen coat of arms with a bad astigmatism”, but he acknowledges that it is at least recognisable, and awards her second place.
