Eero, aka ‘The Bird Whisperer’

While trying to come up with a superhero, Eero asks himself what he would consider to be the most fun thing to do, were he able to do it.

He is then briefly shown attempting a few karate kicks, before shaking the costumes on the clothes rack, upset that there are too many options for him to choose from. His outburst causes one of the costume items to fall off of its hanger, so Eero adopts it as his superhero outfit.

Eero runs to the shed to change into his costume and add some props, including a high-vis jacket, a black nylon stocking over his head, a tambourine, an Aromipesä – or ‘aroma nest’ – cooking pot, and oversized monster hand gloves. He also decides for some reason that his superhero speaks English.

Eero announces his return to the living room with a dramatic shake of his tambourine, asking “Are you ready to meet The Bird Whisperer?”. He tells Pilvi that he will show her how to whisper to birds, and then pulls a rubber duck out of the Aromipesä, instructing her to whisper something to it. After cooing and shaking his tambourine, Eero tells Pilvi that the bird has heard her, but “the only weakness here” is that as a consequence of using the power, the bird has died. He then growls that Pilvi is a “bird murder-arrrrgh”.

In the studio, Jaakko questions why, when Eero had initially wondered what the most fun thing he could do was, he had settled on whispering to birds. Eero simply shrugs and replies that “it would be cool”.

Jaakko awards Eero joint third place.
