Jenny manages to fail as she succeeds

Jenny asks if she can just tie the balloon’s string to a chair or something. She then fetches a hat stand, and attaches the balloon’s string to this using some tape.

When Tom Cashman asks her what she is thinking, she admits that “I’m thinking I’m really, really quite smart”. She then second-guesses herself, stating that surely the task is too simple.

When the crane releases the balloon, it remains hovering in place, attached to the hat stand.

Jenny and Tom then spend some time eating marshmallows. When Jenny asks if Tom prefers pink or white marshmallows, he says they are both the same to him. She attempts to argue that they are different flavours, but gets confused by her own argument, leading Tom to ask her “How are you failing as you're succeeding?”.

In the studio, it’s revealed that Jenny’s balloon had been left overnight, and so remained hovering for 18 hours and 21 minutes. Jenny therefore wins the task and earns 5 points.
