Wil sabotages his own perfect solution

Wil asks if a balloon held between two things would be considered to be hovering. He then puts some tape on the balloon.

Before the balloon is released from the crane, Wil accidentally knocks the balloon, and it becomes detached from the crane, but hovers in place due to the tape he’d added.

Despite having nailed the amount of weight to be added to the balloon to make it hover, Wil is disqualified for having touched it, and earns no points.
