Josh learns to believe in himself
Josh decides he needs to weigh the balloon down, but acknowledges that if he adds too much weight, it will just fall to the floor.
He begins by attaching some the feathers to the balloon’s string, but realises that it’s not enough weight, as the balloon is still pulling upwards. To increase the weight on the balloon, Josh attaches some sticky tape.
When the crane releases the balloon, it momentarily stays in place thanks to the sticky tape, before slowly floating upwards. As it does so, Josh frantically fans at the balloon to try to make it float back down again.
In the studio, when Tom Gleeson asks if Josh feels better after having seen Lloyd’s attempt, Josh acknowledges that he needs to believe in himself more, because “sometimes things aren’t as terrible as Lloyd”.
Josh’s balloon remained between the flags for 17.06 seconds, which earns Josh second place and 4 points.
