Everyone spins the wheel
Andy spins the wheel first, and it lands on red. Given the opportunity to spin again, he does so, and this time it lands on gold, meaning that he automatically passes to the next round.
Babatunde spins next, and is expected to spin the wheel twice, but manages to land on gold on his first go, so also survives to the next round.
Emma spins third, and is expected to spin the wheel three times, but also lands on gold on her first spin, so moves on to the next round.
Jack steps up fourth, and is expected to spin the wheel four times. He decides to be a maverick by spinning the wheel in the opposite direction to everyone else, and also lands on gold with his first spin.
Rosie spins fifth and is expected to spin the wheel five times. On her first spin, the wheel stops with the arrow almost exactly on the borderline between a red and gold segment. Alex judges that it is just on the red side, so Rosie must spin again. Unfortunately, her second spin lands on black, so she is the first eliminated, and earns 1 point.
Andy steps up for his second turn, and is expected to spin it five times. On his first spin, he stands in front of the wheel and grips the edges with both hands, landing on a red segment. For his second spin, he stands to the side and rapidly spins the wheel using both hands, landing on black. He is therefore eliminated second, and earns 2 points.
Babatunde steps up for his second turn, and is expected to spin five times, but again manages to land on gold with his first spin.
Emma steps up for her second turn, and is expected to spin six times. She manages to land four red segments in a row, followed by a gold segment, and so passes through to the next round.
Jack steps up for his second turn, and is expected to spin seven times. His first spin lands on red, but the second is on black, so he is eliminated third and earns 3 points.
Babtunde steps up for his third turn, and is expected to spin seven times. Yet again, though, he manages to land on a gold segment with his first spin, and survives the round.
Emma steps up to the wheel for her third attempt, and is expected to spin eight times. Her first spin lands on black, but the second is on red, so she is eliminated fourth and earns 4 points.
Babatunde therefore wins the task, having only spun the wheel three times in three rounds, and earns 5 points.
