Task brief

The brief for the task is as follows:

Spin the wheel the same number of times, or more, as the person before you.

If you land on gold, you are automatically through to the next round, and the next person has to spin it one more time than the previous person.

Task notes

The contestants are lined up on their marker spots along the left-hand side of the stage.
In the centre of the stage, there is a very large wheel of fortune, divided up into 19 segments: 8 red, 8 black, and 3 gold.
On the left-hand side of the stage, there are chairs for the contestants to sit in, once they are eliminated.
The task brief in this case does not adequately explain how the game actually works, omitting the fact that the contestants must land on the same colour segment (red or black) for each of their spins, unless they land on gold, and that they are eliminated if they fail to do so. It’s possible that the reading of the task brief was edited down for time, removing this explanation. However, it is clarified by comments made throughout the task by Alex.
