Rosie finds what she thinks is a solar panel

Rosie starts out by trying to use an instruction beginning with “Turn to” but the robot immediately declines, because that contains an ‘O’.

She then instructs the robot to “Turn this way”, which works.

The robot somehow gets turned around to face the opposite direction, in footage which does not make the edit, and Rosie is next seen instructing it to move “Back”, prompting it to walk backwards towards her. When she wants it to stop walking backwards, she makes the mistake of saying “Yes!”, and then “No”, and then screaming as the robot backs into her, forcing her to sit down on the sofa behind her.

When we next see footage of Rosie’s attempt, she is standing by the door of the living room, and the robot is on the other side of the room, facing towards her. She instructs it to “Walk”, and then tells it to “Halt” when she wants it to stop. She then gets the robot to turn towards the door and walk towards her, before she steps out into the hallway and instructs it to “Duck” and “Walk” to fit through the doorway.

Having directed the robot down the hallway, she follows him out through the front door while warning him to watch his step by saying “Stairs”. She then instructs it to “Halt” on the driveway, while she goes to look for the charging station. She apparently then spots a square piece of cardboard lying on the stage at the side of the house and decides that it’s the charging station, and she is next seen directing the robot up onto the stage using “Stairs”, “Walk”, and “Halt”.

When the robot continues to request instruction from her, she stands in the garden confused before spotting the charging station behind the caravan. She directs the robot sideways across the lawn using the instruction “Right”.

Having directed the robot to the area in front of the shed, Rosie tells it to “Halt” and then “Turn right”, before getting it into position so she can plug it in.

In the studio, Rosie claims that the piece of cardboard she’d made the robot stand on had “looked like a solar panel”, but Greg retorts that it had “looked like a piece of cardboard”.

Alex reveals that Rosie had completed the task in 16 minutes and 40 seconds, which earns her 2 points.
