Emma traps the essence of a Laura Ashley
While cutting up some fruit, Emma states “I don’t want to ming him out. You know what I mean?”.
After spraying some perfume in the air, she asks Alex whether he can smell it. When he suggests that it smells “quite subtle”, she responds with “Shit”.
She also adds some loose leaf tea to her jar, stating that it smells “lovely” but “not that strong”.
Before sealing the jar, she takes a sniff of its contents, and points out that it doesn’t really smell of anything.
In the studio, it’s revealed that Emma was the only contestant who’d noticed the additional instructions on the back of the task brief. When she asks if they’re intended to “discourage poos”, Alex informs her that she can still poo in the jar if she wants.
Emma is the first one to reveal her smell in the studio, and unconvincingly claims that it is “bloody strong”. Alex confirms that her jar contains perfume, tea and fruit. After taking a sniff, Greg describes the smell as “at best, mild” and “genuinely spa-like”.
After smelling Babatunde’s jar, he states that Emma’s, by comparison, was “like wandering around a Laura Ashley shop”.
Greg ultimately awards Emma’s “delightful stroll through the countryside” 2 points.
