Babatunde shares his wisdom

Babatunde quickly admits that he has no idea how long a furlong is.
He is quick to point out that the task brief didn’t prohibit him from calling the same person three times. However, the first phone call he places goes through to voicemail, as does the second call to Mo Gilligan, prompting Alex to ask “You definitely know these people?”.
Babatunde then calls someone named Giovan or Jamain (both names appear in the subtitles) and asks him how long a furlong is, before adding that he’s going to call them back shortly. He then immediately calls the same person back, not giving them any time to research the answer for him. His friend doesn’t appear to have even digested the question after being asked by Babatunde for the second time, so the call is fruitless. He immediately calls the same person back a third time, though, again providing them with no time to look anything up for him. Amazingly, Babatunde’s friend has worked quickly, and tells him that he thinks a furlong is 220 yards.
At this point, Babatunde admits that he doesn’t actually know how long a yard is. However, he begins pacing backwards and forwards across the stage while monologuing to Alex about how people have had to figure things out for themselves, throughout history. Eventually, he stops pacing and then tells Alex to stop the clock.
In the studio, after Greg starts questioning what he had been talking about during his attempt, Babatunde claims that if he plays the footage back, Greg will understand “the wisdom that I hold”. He then claims that Alex had been writing down the things he’d said, but Alex says the only thing he’d written down that Babatunde had said was that “dirty baths make you itchy”.
Alex reveals that Babatunde had ended his attempt after 9 minutes and 57 seconds, and had walked 243 yards, so was just 23 yards over a furlong. He therefore earns 5 points.
