The task brief is leant against a glass mannequin head on a plinth, in the centre of the stage in the garden. The brief for the task is as follows:
Walk exactly one furlong in exactly 10 minutes.
You may not make use of technology except to make three five-second phone calls.
Also, you may not remove the hat.
Closest to one furlong and 10 minutes wins.

Task notes
- On top of the glass mannequin head, there is a top hat with a ribbon around it.
- There is a pedometer clipped to the ribbon.
- Alex tells the contestants to put the hat on before they read the task brief.
