Ben’s train journey for Abby

Ben begins by saying that there is a cliché that everyone with autism loves trains, but he then points out that the autistic contestant on the show does genuinely love trains.

Ben brings in a train ticket from Wellington to Palmerston North (a five hour trip of around 145km / 90 miles) for Abby, stating that because she loves trains so much, she won’t mind what the destination is. Abby notes that trains always come on time.

When Jeremy points out that Abby would have to get herself to Wellington first, Ben admits that he had looked at tickets from Auckland to Palmerston North (a nine hour trip of over 511km / 317 miles), but they were really expensive.

Ben earns 3 points.
