Everyone pinches, protects, and plunders

In the first round, Abby opts to ‘plunder’ Tom, although she writes ‘pluner’. Paul asks Tom if he has chosen to ‘protect’, but he has instead chosen to ‘plunder’ Josh, so Paul takes the three balls from Tom and gives them to Abby. Josh has chosen to ‘pinch’ from Abby, so he loses all three balls to Tom, but then wins one ball back from Abby. Ben has chosen to ‘plunder’ Tom, so he gets the three balls that Tom had plundered from Josh. Hayley has chosen to ‘protect’, so she neither gains nor loses any balls. Abby ends the round with five balls, Ben has six, Hayley has three, Josh has one, and Tom has zero.

In the second round, Ben chooses to ‘protect’ himself. Hayley chooses to ‘plunder’ Josh, who in turn decides to ‘pinch’ from Abby again. Hayley therefore gets Josh’s sole ball, which he immediately replaces with one from Abby. Tom looks ashamed, but he has chosen to ‘plunder’ Hayley, so he gets all four of her balls. Abby chooses to ‘plunder’ Ben, but as he had chosen to ‘protect’ himself, she gets nothing from him. Abby ends the round with four balls, Ben has six, Hayley has zero, Josh has one, and Tom has four.

In the third and final round, Hayley states that she’s a feminist but has chosen to ‘plunder’ Abby. Abby, in turn, chooses to ‘plunder’ Josh, so Hayley gets Abby’s four balls. Josh has again chosen to ‘pinch’ from Abby, so Paul takes Josh’s one ball and gives it to Abby, before immediately returning the ball to Josh. Ben opts to ‘pinch’ from Josh, so Paul takes the ball back from Josh again, saying “This ball is getting a lot of mileage this round”, and gives it to Ben. Tom decides to ‘pinch’ from Abby, who has no balls remaining by this point.

Abby and Josh both end the game with zero balls, and earn 1 point each. Hayley and Tom each end up with four balls, and earn 3 points each. Ben wins the game with seven balls, and earns 5 points.
