Hayley and Paul have many near-miss matches

After Paul goes into his changing room for the first time, Hayley tells him to have fun in there, and then claims that she misses him when he’s gone.
Hayley begins by wearing the fedora. While she doesn’t match Paul, who is wearing the apron, she does point out that fedoras are cool, and claims that they are the best hats.
She next tries on the raincoat, but Paul emerges wearing the boots. She then puts the scarf on, while Paul comes out of his cubicle wearing the pink collar. Hayley admits that she would have worn something similar when she was about 13, as she had been a goth, but she notes that she would have bought a proper dog collar.
Hayley then puts on the Y-fronts, and is wondering what the little “flap” is for as Paul comes out of his cubicle in the dress and admits that he doesn’t know what the little flap is for either.
The next mismatch we see is Hayley in the umbrella hat and Paul in the fedora, which she tells him he looks good in. Hayley then puts on the pearl necklace before taking it back off, whispering to herself that it doesn’t feel right. She instead wears the neckerchief round her head, but then Paul comes out of his cubicle wearing the pearl necklace.
Next, we see Hayley in the zebra hat and Paul in the overalls, while she playfully makes the ears of the hat move. Hayley then puts on the dress, and Paul comes out in the Panama hat. When Hayley says that Paul looks like Michael Jackson, he adjusts his hat to slightly cover his face. She then suggests that he perform a Michael Jackson style lean, and he does lean quite far forwards, but then begins to topple and Hayley has to stop him from falling.
We next see Hayley picking the top hat, before opting instead for the Viking hat just as Paul emerges wearing the top hat.
Hayley then puts on the eye-patch and asks what happens if they are there all day. When Paul then comes out of his cubicle wearing the umbrella hat, she sees that they don’t match and tells him to get back in.
Hayley then returns to wearing the Y-fronts while Paul dons the Viking helmet. She then puts on the high-heeled shoes, and Paul comes out saying that he already knows it’s not a match because he is wearing the X-ray glasses.
Hayley then puts on the zebra hat, but when Paul asks if she is ready, she says no, takes off the hat, and puts on an ice skate instead, just in time for Paul to appear from the changing room wearing the zebra hat.
Hayley then dons the fedora while Paul emerges wearing the apron again, prompting her to say “We’re back to bloody square one, aren’t we?”
Next, Hayley begins to put the dress on, but then she thinks for a moment and changes to wear the collar instead. Paul comes out of his cubicle also wearing the collar, so they finally match.
In the studio, Hayley comments that Abby’s tactic of alternating between two items had been a good idea. She finally matches Paul after 29 attempts, which earns her just 1 point.
