Task brief

The task brief is hung over the bar of a coat-hanger, which is hanging from a clothes rack in the lab. The brief for the task is as follows:

Match accessories with Paul.

Paul will emerge every minute with a new accessory until you match him.

You may only don one accessory at a time, and you may not don the same accessory twice in a row.

No peeking.

Fewest accessories tried on by Paul wins.

Your time starts now.

Task notes

Also hung on the clothes rack, and spread across the top and the lower shelf of the adjacent table, there are a variety of accessories.
In the opposite corner of the lab, there is a red velvet curtain, forming a small changing booth for Paul.
The accessories provided in the room, in the (alphabetical) order in which Paul wears them, are as follows: Apron; Boots (wellington boots); Collar (pink, with studs); Dress; Eyepatch (pirate style); Fedora hat; Goggles; High heels; Ice skate; Jewellery (pearl necklace); Kilt; Life jacket; Mask (masquerade ball style); Neckerchief; Overalls; Panama hat; Quilt; Raincoat; Scarf; Top hat; Umbrella hat; Viking helmet; Watch; X-ray glasses; Y-fronts; and Zebra hat.
There are also some books on the table, the top-most one of which is titled ‘The A to Z of Fashion’.
Paul is presumably handed each of the accessories through a gap in the plastic sheeting around the edges of the lab.
