Task notes

  • Along either side of the lab, there are five clear acrylic stands, upon each of which there is a mannequin’s head with an elongated neck.
  • Each of the mannequin heads is wearing a name tag, with all of the names being the nicknames of players on the Australian Rules football team which was featured in the live ‘Memorise an Australian Rules Football team‘ task in series 1.
  • Each of the mannequin heads is wearing different accessories to help make them memorable:
    • Dina is wearing a curly blonde wig and a pearl necklace, and has a beauty spot.
    • Izzy is wearing a red headscarf and lipstick.
    • The Yank Tank is wearing a leather aviator hat (possibly the same one worn by John Kearns in the ‘Perform a one-minute, one-person play’ task) and a red and white striped scarf.
    • The Colonel is wearing glasses, a bow tie, and a horseshoe hairline wig.
    • Blanket is wearing a brightly coloured clown’s wig and red nose.
    • Gordo is wearing a sailor’s hat with the word ‘Ahoy’ on it (as originally brought in as a prize task submission by John Kearns, and then worn by Alex and the contestants during the ‘Get all the rubber rings on your bargepole’ task), a military medal, and an overgrown moustache.
    • Trev is wearing black-out goggles (as originally seen in the ‘Sort the objects with your face’ task) and a leather collar with studs and chains.
    • Reggie is wearing a bob wig with a fringe (possibly the same one brought in by Morgana for the ‘The most magnificent floppy thing’ task), and a backwards gold baseball cap.
    • Chisel is wearing a swimming hat and goggles (possibly the same ones used during the ‘Count all the dots task’).
    • Grillsy is wearing a black eye patch and a goatee beard.
  • After the contestants’ two minutes are up, Alex removes the name tags from the mannequins.
  • For the second part of the task, which takes place in the living room, all of the mannequin heads are again presented on their clear acrylic stands, but they are arranged in a different order.
  • For those whose memories fail them, there are two alternative ways provided for them to identify the 10 fine people:
    • Each of the mannequin heads’ names is written on their face in UV ink, and can be revealed using a UV torch found beneath Greg’s portrait at the back of the room.
    • There are Polaroid photos of each of the fine people, with their names written at the bottom, hidden among the décor around the edges of the room.
