The task brief is found in the contestants’ pigeonhole, in the hallway. The brief for the task is as follows:
Wear this outfit throughout one future task, and your points will be doubled for that task.
You have until your time in Taskmaster is over.
Task notes
- Alex is standing in a corner of the hallway, where he cannot be seen on any of the cameras, wearing what is later revealed to be a hot dog costume.
- This game mechanic of allowing the contestants to play a joker to double their points in a task is new to the official Taskmaster franchise, but was previously used in a fan version of the format produced by The YogsCast YouTube channel. The introduction of the mechanic can be seen at this point in their video. The slight difference in the mechanic is that on the Yogscast version, the contestants choose when to play their joker while in the studio, with some knowledge of how well they might have done, while in this series of Taskmaster, they have to play their joker before they attempt the task, or even know what it is.
