Sue reveals her “horrendous feet”

When Alex asks Sue if she’s done many things that she’s regretted, she responds “Too personal to tell you”, before adding “Mostly concerned with sex”.

After thinking for a while, Sue announces that she would very much regret showing her feet on television. She shares that she’d only ever done it once before, while appearing on The Royle Family, and really hadn’t wanted to do so, since she believes that she has the “ugliest feet in the world”.

Sue leaves the room, and returns to it without her shoes on, taking a seat on the sofa and placing her naked feet on a small table in front of the egret (whom she has decided to call Eric). The whole scene is shot in a very generous way so that there is almost always something blocking the camera’s view of her feet (a bunch of flowers, or the egret), except for a very brief shot.

After sitting for a while with her feet exposed, and questioning why she is looking at them and drawing attention to them, she claims that she feels “sick” about the situation.

In the studio, Greg insists that Sue’s feet hadn’t looked that bad, from the brief glimpse he’d gotten of them. However, Sue insists that they are “bloody awful”, and Alex quickly agrees with her.

Greg ultimately decides that Sue’s on-screen regret for showing her “horrendous feet” on camera was the most genuine, so he awards her 5 points.
