Joonas finds the cake

Joonas dashes back to the house and searches every room for a cake. As each room turns up empty, he asks if he’s actually meant to make the cake himself.

At one point, Joonas re-reads the task brief, semi-seriously wondering if instead of ‘istu kakkule’ (‘sit on a cake’) it had actually read ‘istu kakkale’ (‘sit on a poop’). While this is likely just a joke he is making, it does actually open up a valid interpretation of just sitting on a toilet to complete the task.

In footage of his attempt that does not make the edit, Joonas actually finds the pre-packaged cake left in one of the cupboards by the production team (he is, in fact, the only contestant to do so), and takes it outside to a picnic table, along with a can of whipped cream and a container of strawberry jam.

After taking the time to make his cake more appetising, Joonas unceremoniously sits on it after 3 minutes and 22 seconds, and earns third place.

Jaakko also awards Joonas a bonus point for having the nicest-looking cake.
