Ben quickly becomes bored

Ben sits and listens to Paul reading the instructions over the radio. As Paul says “Papa Alpha Papa Echo…”, Ben correctly anticipates that the full word will be “PAPER”, and then, as Paul continues with “Romeo”, Ben states that he was way ahead of him.

Ben doesn’t write anything down, and as the message goes on, he begins to look more and more bored. He makes his paper aeroplane, and as Paul gets to the first ‘T’ in ‘FASTEST’, Ben tells him to stop.

Ben doesn’t wait to hear the full instructions, instead heading to the balcony, where he scrunches his plane up and throws it in the bin.

In the studio, Jeremy comments on how bored Ben had looked, and Ben reveals that Paul had needed to re-start the message three times.

When Jeremy also states that it was impressive that Ben hadn’t written anything down, Ben claims he must not have been hung over that day.

It’s revealed that Ben completed the task in 10 minutes and 22 seconds.

At this point, Bubbah (representing Tofiga in the studio) notes that when the light had hit Ben’s face, she’d noticed how delightful his skin was, and she asks what his skincare routine is. Ben simply says “Water”.

Once Tom, Hayley, and Tofiga’s attempts have been shown, Ben realises that if he had listened to the end of the message, he would have discovered it was a task where the fastest contestant loses. He correctly believes, however, that Tom had completed the task quicker than he had. It is confirmed that Tom had completed the task 24 seconds faster, so Ben comes third and earns 3 points.
