Tom’s lost trilby

Tom prefaces the reveal of his prize submission by stating that it’s complicated, involves a “sob story”, and that he now kind of regrets it.

He explains that he came of age in the early 2000s, and was a bit of a fashion victim, who wore a tire as a belt, and boot-cut jeans, along with his prize – a pin-stripe trilby hat.

He states with some emotion that he has a “very, very big head” and therefore can’t usually find hats which fit, causing the audience to “Aww”, and Hayley to squeeze his hand in support.

He claims that this hat was the first one he’d found which actually fit his head, but he’d left it in a taxi after drinking too many mudslides.

Tom earns 1 point.
