Abby, Tofiga, and Tom recreate the Mona Lisa

Tom and Abby run off back to the house for supplies, while Tofiga casually leans on the plinth. They return with some fabric in various colours for the background of their artwork, which they arrange and hold up behind Tofiga, who sits on a chair, wearing a long back wig, and smiling enigmatically.

The team recreate the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. When Paul questions whether the painting is “alive”, they point out that she is breathing.

Tofiga then becomes a more lively Mona Lisa, speaking in high-pitched voice to say “I’m breathing Paul. Look how beautiful I am, Paul”, before doing a little wave. When Tofiga then says “I love you Paul”, Paul responds “Thank you, Mona”, prompting Tofiga to say “You can call me Lisa”.

Tom suggests that Paul should feel privileged to be allowed to call her Lisa, before asking if the 30 seconds is up. When Paul confirms that it is, Tom and Abby lower the background they have been holding up.

In the studio, Jeremy comments that the background of the painting was very accurate, but questions why they’d chose Tofiga to play Mona Lisa when they had a female on the team. Tom notes that “Tofiga likes to sit”, and Abby argues that Tofiga has the “enigmaticness” to play the Mona Lisa.

After Hayley suggests that Tom and Abby each do their own impressions of the Mona Lisa, Jeremy agrees that Tofiga’s was the best.

Abby, Tofiga, and Tom each earn 3 points for their living artwork.
