Abby is a ghost with a lot on her schedule

After reading the task brief, Abby says she thinks it’s great, as she is naturally creepy.

Abby finds Paul’s diary on the table, but decides to respect his privacy, as her sister had stolen her diary and read it to her friends at a sleepover, when they were younger.

In the studio, before we see Abby’s attempt at the task, Jeremy asks her if she wants to talk about her sister stealing her diary, and Abby confirms that it actually happened. After Hayley asks Abby what was in the diary, Paul jokes that he actually has the diary with him and will read it out. When Abby says it was mostly about how she was in love with American Idol contestant Clay Aiken, Chris says “So was I”.

For her attempt at the task, Abby waits until Paul has completed his bedtime routine and is tucked up in bed. She then appears from under then bed, wearing bad make-up and a blonde wig, shining a torch up at her face from below, and using a voice-changer to distort her voice.

Abby asks “Is that Paul?”, before adding that she hadn’t recognised him because he looks so old, and “haggard by time”. She then dances around a bit as Paul replies to her “Well, you’re not looking too good yourself”, before responding by screaming “How dare you, Paul?!” and threatening to feed him to the sharks.

When Abby tells Paul that she’ll be back, he asks whether she means later that night, or on another night. Abby responds that she doesn’t know what her schedule is going to look like, before climbing back under the bed.

In the studio, Jeremy states that the torch under the chin was a “classic” choice, and Abby admits that she’d channelled all of her energy into her look, and then, once under the bed, didn’t know what she was going to do.

Jeremy notes that there is something about a ghost with a busy schedule, and then Abby states that many people have wronged her, and that she must make them all pay.

Jeremy decides that Abby was mostly just being herself, but acknowledges that in itself is quite freaky, so he awards her 4 points.
