Pete is the least cool about his cucumber

In the first round, the contestants have to be humble about their pies. Pete says his pie is okay, but not as good as his mum’s, or his nan’s, or his great-grandfather, who he claims fought in the war at Gallipoli. He stutters that they used to make pies in a hut just as Tom Cashman blows his whistle.

In the second round, the contestants have to been keen about their mustard. Pete has a jar of whole grain mustard. He immediately puts his fingers into the jar, scoops some out, and puts it straight in his mouth. With his mouth full of mustard, he then says “Oh good” and licks his fingers. As Tom Cashman blows his whistle, Pete spits the mustard out of his mouth.

In the third round, the contestants have to be cool about their cucumbers. Pete has a bowl of gherkins. He takes off his jacket and hooks it on his finger before casually flinging it over his shoulder. He then mutters phrases such as “Cool” and “Whatever”, as he picks up the bowl and sits on the edge of the stage with it. Tom Gleeson says that he can’t lie to Pete, stating that he was the least cool before he’d even tried. Pete is therefore eliminated third and earns 3 points.
