Rhys transforms Tom Cashman into Tom Gleeson

Having read the task brief, Rhys asks Tom Cashman what qualities he could improve. When Tom replies in the form of a question, Rhys snaps “Well, I mean, I think we start with not answering questions with questions.”
After announcing that they’re going to make Tom Cashman the Taskmaster, Rhys sits him in a chair draped with red fabric, places a little man figurine beside him, and swap his suit for an open-necked striped shirt. Then they wrap his head in cling-film, paint over it with a flesh tone, and add orange hair to his head and chest.
With 32 seconds left, Rhys wants Tom to experience being the Taskmaster, so they impersonates Tom Cashman saying “Welcome to Taskmaster. Buh buh buh.” Tom then responds with “Hi there. I’m Tom Gleeson, host of the show Taskmaster. I’d like to thank my brilliant assistant, Tom Cashman.”
While Rhys claims that the transformation had made Tom a better man, Tom’s main takeaway is that the cling-film on his head is uncomfortably tight.
In the studio, Tom Gleeson admits he can’t fault the logic — he is, after all, a better man than Tom Cashman. Rhys suggests that even scratching the surface of someone as complicated and iconic as Tom Gleeson improves a person. When Tom Gleeson comments that it’s weird having Rhys suck up to him like that, Rhys replies “Thank you for saying both ‘suck up’ and my correct pronouns in the same thing. It really tickled me in two different ways”, thus coining the episode title.
Rhys earns 4 points.
