Romesh compromises on veganism

Romesh again runs into some ethical dilemmas when planning his meal, but very quickly decides that it is going to include bacon.

He later decides to replace the bacon with some ‘facon’, but retains cheese, eggs, and ice cream on the list.

His list of ingredients includes: Avocado, Ciabatta, Dates, Emmental, Facon, Grapes, Ice cream, Jelly, Kiwi, Lemon, Mozzarella, Onions [originally Orange], Pasta (Tagliatelle), Quinoa, Radishes, Sausage (vegan), Tomatoes, Uzo [ouzo], Watermelon, Xylophone, Yellow pepper, and Zucchini.

It is unclear which ingredients he requested for the letters ‘B’, ‘H’ (possibly ‘Hen’s eggs’?), ‘N’, or ‘V’ (possibly ‘Vegetarian’-something).

Romesh manages to burn his ciabatta under the grill twice before getting it right.

In the studio, Romesh claims that he was providing a ‘soundscape’ with his xylophone, to accompany the meal.

Alex says the meal was nice, but that there was no meat, so it wasn’t “very nice”.

Romesh argues that he doesn’t know how to cook meat, so it was safer for him not to try, and that he was also trying to help Greg live “a more ethical life”.

Greg ultimately awards Romesh second place for his effort.
