Richard uses stepping stones

Richard weighs up whether to risk just throwing the potato at the hole with no precautions in place, but errs on the side of caution and runs off to the shed for supplies.

He returns with a tarpaulin, some guttering, and a plastic sledge. He uses the sledge and tarpaulin as stepping stones, so that he can walk across to the hole without actually stepping on the red green, and then places the potato directly into the hole.

Back in the studio, Alex reveals that Richard finished the task in 2 minutes and 13 seconds. With Joe’s disqualification from the task, Richard places second.
