Joe fixes himself a lovely feast
During Joe’s attempt, his preparation work is not shown on camera, but the audio is played over footage of the empty lab, documenting him singing and whistling to himself while working in the kitchen.
He then appears in the doorway of the lab, carrying a tray loaded with food and drink. Among the items on the tray are: a can of Dr Pepper (which he immediately starts on); a can of Sprite; a large carton of orange juice; a bottle of tomato ketchup; a jar of mustard; a bottle of tabasco sauce; an apple, a banana, and a plate, upon which he has arranged a “crescent” of half a dozen sausage rolls, a “crescent” of five slices of salami (dressed with tomato ketchup); some unidentifiable packaged food; and scrambled egg on a slice of toast.
As he tucks into his feast, he admits that he knew he wasn’t going to win the task (presumably because he assumed others would down the egg raw), so he thought he might as well actually enjoy the experience.
As he finishes his egg on toast, Alex shares that it had taken him 10 minutes and 46 seconds to eat an egg.
At the end of the video, he appears to take a bite out of some kind of biscuit or cracker.
Back in the studio, Greg admits that he wishes he could give style points, but that Joe was probably going to be in last place.
However, due to Katherine’s inability to eat the egg, he ultimately earns fourth place in the task.
