Richard goes down a Michael Jackson cul-de-sac

Richard starts out by requesting “a meat-free one”, rather than saying ‘vegetarian’, but then apparently asks the restaurant worker to list out the toppings on their most meaty pizza, asking for “the last one” on the list after the man says ‘pepperoni’. He then has to clarify that he want a special order pizza with “two types of meat”.

Judging that he might be coming across as a difficult customer, Richard then pretends that he is surrounded by other people, all of whom are asking for different things.

To skirt the issue of requesting no tomato sauce, he asks if they have one with “a barbecue base”.

Back in the studio, Alex confirms that Richard was the only one not to say any of the forbidden words. However, he also describes the resulting order that was received as “spectacularly wrong”, consisting of two separate pizzas, both of which were “smothered” in cheese”.

Returning to the video of his attempt, Richard is seen trying to lead the restaurant worker to saying ‘bubbles’ by going down the ‘Michael Jackson’s chimp’ route. However, this just causes confusion as the man on the phone first thinks his name is ‘Michael Jackson’, and then ‘Jim’. When pressed further, the somewhat bemused man has to confess that he does not remember the name of Michael Jackson’s ‘monkey’, at which point Richard gives up on his approach and ends the order.

Summing up the task, Alex confirms that Richard’s pizza had been the least accurate order received.
