Matthieu suspends the egg from the ceiling
Matthieu starts out trying to build a paper tower, certain in the knowledge that it will collapse and he'll have to think of something else.
While folding the paper, he does come up with a better idea: to use the tape measure to hold the egg up near the ceiling, somehow.
There is a GoPro camera on the ceiling above the table, held in place on a ceiling beam by a clamp.
He initially hooks the end of the tape measure on the clamp, and tries to balance the egg on the body of the tape measure, but the whole structure is too insecure.
He then uses folded up paper to create a shim to help keep the end of the tape measure more securely hooked onto the clamp, and carefully balances the egg on top of the body of the tape measure, very close to the ceiling.
With this method, he is able to elevate the egg 130cm above the table surface, and secures third place in the task.
