Matthieu Pepper
Biography
Matthieu Pepper (born on 7 September 1990) is a Quebec comedian, actor, author, and screenwriter.
After two years playing in bars in Quebec, in 2014 he took part in the television show En route vers mon premier Gala Juste pour rire [On my way to my first Just for Laughs Gala], and was one of the creators of the show Le Show 2000 at the Zoofest festival.
In 2016 he became a regular host of the Bordel comedy club, and was invited to open for comedians including Simon Gouache, Rachid Badouri, and Patrick Groulx.
From 2016 he took part in the ALT show on VRAK, hosted by Phil Roy and Pierre Yves Roy Desmarais.
In 2017 he became one of the radio hosts on the morning show at CKOI and became a member of the regular team of the comeback show hosted by Patrick Marsolais.
In 2018 he was a columnist on the programme Avec Pas D'Match on RDS.
In 2020 he appeared at the ComediHa! festival and at Just for Laughs. He also wrote and shot the first season of Entre deux draps [Between Two Sheets], a series in which he played one of the main roles. In 2021 Entre deux draps received 5 nominations at the Gémeaux Awards Gala, and was awarded Best Comedy Series and Best Humorous Interpretation. The series also won the Olivier for Best Comedy Series of the Year in 2022.
In 2021 he became one of the headliners of the radio show Le fun est dans le retour [The fun is in the return] on CKOI.
