Matthieu completes the task with water
Matthieu appears to have no concept, initially, of how much stuff he will need to achieve the target weight, so begins by adding just a pair of safety goggles.
He then adds some kind of tribal-looking wooden carvings, followed by three bricks, bringing the total weight up to just over 14kg.
He then adds a large potted plant and a t-shirt, reaching 18.69kg.
He then adds a small decorative pair of wellington boots, a second large potted plant, and half a bucket of water, but the bucket tips off the edge, getting water everywhere, and he knocks off two of the bricks while replacing it, leaving his total weight at around 22kg.
Removing the bucket, and replacing the bricks, he reaches 25.055kg.
He disappears from the room for an extended period, until Antoine calls for him, and returns again with the bucket of water, pushing the weight back up to over 32kg.
He then fetches a second bucket and a cup, so he can slowly remove some of the water.
After removing slightly too much, reducing the total weight to 31.660kg, he fetches some paper towel, and uses that to slowly drip water back into the bucket.
He then takes a mouthful of water from the cup and squirts the water out of his mouth, into the bucket, before reverting to using the paper towel method to reach the exact target weight of 31.770kg.
In the studio, Louis points out that Matthieu appears to have been enraged throughout the task.
He also points out that Matthieu had ultimately ended up using the best strategy, with the water, and Matthieu admits that it was just a shame it took him so long to get there.
Antoine reveals that it took Matthieu 8 minutes and 4 seconds to complete the task, securing himself the last place.
