Brynley can’t stop herself from bringing up DRC’s child soldiers

Brynley aims for the Netherlands, but instead hist the Democratic Republic of the Congo with her dart.

While carrying out some quick research on the country, she learns of its long history of child soldiers which, despite indicating she wasn’t going to mention, she manages to nevertheless incorporate into her anthem.

She uses a prerecorded tune on a keyboard as her backing track, and stands in front of multiple Democratic Republic of the Congo flags while holding her hand over her heart and singing.

Halfway through, she stops the backing track, grabs a tambourine, and launches into a rap which focuses almost exclusively on which other countries the nation borders. The lyrics to her song are as follows:

Oh, I’m so proud
To live in Democratic Republic of the Congo.
We have a national park.
It’s full of boulders.
But please don’t talk about the wars,
Or the child soldiers.
Break it down!
Yo, yo, yo we DRC!
We border nine other countries.
First in Angola, Burundi too.
We have enough wildlife for a million zoos.
Next up, don’t forget Central African Republic.
And we ain’t afraid to eat mayo out in public.
South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda.
And lastly, we border Zambia.

In the studio, Brynley admits that the country does not have a national park full of boulders, but that she’d just needed something to rhyme with ‘child soldiers’. When she says that her song was much longer than what was shown in the edit, Paul claims that there were about another 90 second about the child soldiers.

Jeremy awards Brynley just 2 points “because of the child soldiers”.
