Lars destroys the cylinder

Lars immediately panics, picking up the hammer and then the bananas.

After stating that it is stupid to begin with the bananas, he nevertheless peels one of them and tries to mash it through the sieve, repeating the phrase "Everything must go through the sieve" over and over.

As the banana pulp clogs up the sieve mesh, he debates out loud whether or not the smoothie maker might be useful. After realising he does not know how to use the device, he instead opens the can of beans and pours that into the sieve.

After again stating that it was a bad idea to start with the banana, he begins peeling the second one. He abandons that and switches to peeling an orange, all while talking about how badly he is doing.

With very little time left, he realises he could have made a larger hole in the sieve, and begins attacking it with the hammer and the kitchen knife while it is still full of banana and beans. While stabbing the sieve, he asks Olli why he isn't trying to stop him from performing the 'life-threatening' act.

With just 30 seconds left, he places the sieve with its new hole back on the cylinder, and drops the hammer through it, breaking the glass at the bottom.

He then attempts to punch an onion through the hole, an action which completely destroys the already weakened glass cylinder, leaving huge shards of glass all over the table. He again insists that Olli should be stopping him from doing the dangerous things he is doing.

In the studio, it is confirmed that he managed to get nothing into the cylinder (since it was shattered), and so he earns last place.

Note: It was revealed through a video on VGTV that the production team had to step in, during Lars' attempt, to prevent him possibly cutting his fingers off in the smoothie maker. A version of that video with English subtitles may be found here.
