Gilmário makes the scales read 70lb
Here's a description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to illustrate it.
Gilmário puts one foot on the scale, leaning to displace more of his weight to bring the number up, but quickly overloads the scale. Gilmário puts his shoes on the scale to help him figure out the weight conversion, then enlists the help of a woman from the crew to put her foot on the scale alongside him as they both displace a smaller amount of their collective weight on the scale. This gets Gilmário around the correct weight, but he has trouble keeping the number steady for the required time. Eventually, Gilmário puts a heavy statue, a large clock, his shoes, and a large bag of salt on the scale, scooping out and adding salt as needed to get the weight down to 70lbs. Gilmário completes the task in 13 minutes 21 seconds and earns last place.
