Leo ascends away from the lava

Here's a description of the contestant's attempt. Someone's probably working on collecting some images to illustrate it.

To save himself, Leo runs to the staircase which, fortunately for him, is carpeted, and therefore counts as 'safe'. Having ascended to the landing, which is not carpeted, he scoots along it while standing on a rug. He then ascends the stairs up to the attic, which are not carpeted, and resumes his rug-sliding technique to get to the far end of the attic. In the studio, Olli confirms that he only measures to the start of the second flight of stairs, giving Leo a distance of 22.4m. This earns him second place in the task.
