Tim scores a teabag-in-one
Tim immediately identifies that he is going to achieve a great distance with his throw by using a tennis ball and a tennis ball thrower.
He also immediately formulates a plan to reduce the need for accuracy by building a funnel to capture and redirect the tennis ball into his mug.
He then buries the mug up to its rim in the garden, and staples plastic sheeting to the garden fence behind it to form his funnel.
Poking a hole into the tennis ball provided by Alex, he inserts a teabag into the ball, then uses the ball thrower to fling it from the other side of the garden, directly into his funnel, which successfully redirects the ball straight into the mug on his first attempt.
Tim’s successful throw was measured at 23.87m, landing him first place in the task.
