Luke's bragging song
Luke begins by asking Tom Cashman what his favourite theme song of all time is, to which Tom responds that he likes the Seinfeld theme.
Luke then points out that it was a trick question, because Tom's favourite theme tune is obviously the one that Luke is about to create.
He has Tom Cashman play a drumbeat and play chords on a keyboard, while he himself sings and plays guitar.
At the end of each of Luke's high-pitched and auto-tuned lines, Tom adds a spoken interjection.
The lyrics to the song are as follows ('L' = Luke; 'T' = Tom):
L: His name is Luke...
T: ...McGregor.
L: He's never puked.
T: I have.
L: [inaudible]
L: His comedy's not a fluke.
T: [shakes head]
L: He's against nuke...
T: ...lear war.
L: He's a red-head by birth.
T: You should check his pubes.
L: He's won bravest person on earth...
T: ...and other planets.
L: He's been to Perth...
T: ...twice.
L: A gazillion dollars is approximately how much he's worth.
T: That's not enough, I reckon.
L: Luke, you're the best.
T: He is.
L: You're very blessed.
T: I agree.
L: You should go on a quest.
T: You totally should.
L: To find out if you're actually the...uh, the best.
T: I checked the end of the quest and he act- he is the best.
L: Luke, you're so cool.
T: Damn straight.
L: Everyone drools...
T: ...when they look at Luke.
L: He supports renewable fuels.
T: That's really nice.
L: Savin' the planet. And he rules!
Both: He rules. Laaaa!"
In the studio, as Tom Gleeson highlights some of Luke's achievements which were mentioned in the song, Luke notes that he has actually visited Perth three times, but had just said "twice" to avoid appearing too arrogant.
Tom Gleeson awards Luke second place because of his "political nous".
