Danielle doesn't know any carols

Danielle immediately realises that she doesn't know any Christmas carols, and has to refer to a binder full of the lyrics to royalty-free songs as her source material.

The first present she opens is the one containing jelly, and the second is the one containing soup.

She then appears to open up the one containing the puzzle and the one with the combination lock (though the order is not shown), before finally unwrapping the one containing sand. She finds the sieve within, and uses it to strain the soup, revealing the letters she needs for the combination lock. After unlocking the combination lock, she finds the hay inside the box.

She then turns her attention to the box containing the jelly, and extracts the phone from within. She realises that she needs a "thing to poke in the thing", to insert the SIM card into the phone, and then eventually makes the connection to the box containing hay, stating "I'm looking for a needle in the frickin' haystack!". She eventually locates the needle, and uses it to insert the SIM card.

She appears to not have solved the jigsaw puzzle or found the magnet.

Having turned on the phone, she calls the number she's instructed to, listens to the message, and then gives Tom Cashman three examples of how she has been good this year, which include having let her sister stay with her for a week.

Tom then hands over the golden present from under his hat, and Danielle sings a final carol before unwrapping it to find the blue stress ball within.

In the studio, Tom Cashman reveals that Danielle took 18 minutes and 41 seconds to complete the task, earning first place.
